UZO MKPARU

Uzo is a seasoned C-Level executive specializing in strategy, digital transformation, and innovation-led growth. She has over 25 years of experience in financial services, telecommunications, and the public sector in the United Kingdom and Nigeria. She is the founder/CEO of TechScale, a data analytics company, and has held other key roles including Deputy Integration Director of the FCMB-Finbank merger and in blue chip companies such as Oracle and ICL. At FCMB, she was responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for leveraging data, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence for innovation and competitive advantage. She also led the integration of one of the most successful mergers in Nigeria, repositioning the bank as the 6th largest. She won the prestigious Business Day Deal of the Year award and was a recipient of the FCMB Special Recognition Award.

Uzo is a guest lecturer at Pan-Atlantic University and a sought-after conference speaker on topics such as the Bank of the Future and Artificial Intelligence in Financial Services. She was recently recognized as one of the 100 Leading Women in Nigeria in 2021. Uzo holds an MBA from Cranfield University, UK, and a Master’s degree in Information Systems & Technology from City University, London. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She has numerous certifications in business, digital technologies, and Programme/Project Management. She is an honorary senior member (HCIB) of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and a member of Boardroom Africa. She is passionate about financial inclusion, innovation-led growth, emerging technologies, and Open Banking.
